Where can I buy tickets?

  • Tickets for most shows are available through Dash Tickets.
  • Shows at the Aurora Centre, 
CBS Canterbury Arena, and Chamber Music New Zealand shows at the Transitional Cathedral are ticketed through Ticketek.
  • Tickets to Christchurch Symphony Orchestra performances are available via their website.

Each of the ticketing agencies
 listed above will charge their own transaction fees, you can save money by booking for multiple shows in one purchase with the individual agency.

Ticketek NZ is selling tickets for performances at the Aurora Centre, CBS Canterbury Arena and all Chamber Music New Zealand concerts at the Transitional Cathedral.

A booking fee of $2.00-$3.50 per ticket applies to all Christchurch Arts Festival shows and is in addition to the advertised ticket price.


Dash Tickets: a maximum of 20 tickets can be booked to one show in one transaction. Booking fees are charged at $2.50 per ticket with a cap of $10 per transaction.

Ticketek: a maximum of 10 tickets per show can booked online in one transaction. Larger bookings can be made by phone. Booking fees are charged at $2.00 per ticket with a cap of $10 per show.


Ticket prices include GST. General Admission events do not
 have allocated seating. Door sales are 
only as available and we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. The use of mobile telephones or similar devices is not permitted during the shows. The use of cameras or other recording devices is strictly 
prohibited. We reserve the right to admit latecomers at a suitable 
point in the performance. If there is no suitable point, latecomers may not be permitted entrance.


The Christchurch Arts Festival reluctantly reserves the right to change the schedule by amending dates or replacing shows or artists. Any changes will be advertised on the Festival website and in The Press. There are no exchanges or refunds on ticket price or service fees except as required by law or in the event that a show is cancelled. Transaction fees are not refundable. Tickets are non-transferable between events. No refunds or exchanges on lost or stolen tickets.


Door Sales are subject to availability. Any Door Sales will be available to purchase at the venue from 60 minutes prior to the start of the performance. You may purchase with Cash, EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard.


Where applicable, student prices will be available to those who are enrolled in education at tertiary level and below. Tertiary students and senior secondary students may be asked to present valid student ID when purchasing tickets and on entrance to the show. A child is classified as those aged 17 years and under.
